Urvashi Vaid the activist and leader of many LGBTQ+ community leaders passed away at the age of 63. She was an Indian American who was an expert in gender and sexuality law. She died at her house in New York City. Urvashi worked her whole life for the rights and protection of the community. The activist was born in New Delhi but eventually was grown up in western countries. As said the activist was born in New Delhi, on the 8th of October, 1958, in a Punjabi Mohyal Brahmin family. In 1989, Urvashi became the Executive director of the National Gay and Lesbian Taskforce, where she solved all the problems and showed them in public for the world to know what problems the community has to face. She worked for years for the rights of the community. She is the partner of comedian Kate Clinton. Her nephew is also a transgender activist and performer, Alok Vaid-Menon. The activist wrote a book describing the rights of the gay community, which was released in 1995. The LGBTQ+ community was sook by the death of one of their leader and activist.
