Paytm to roll back 2 percent Credit card fees after the outcry
The Paytm was not charging any fees and was allowing the users to take out cash easily out of wallet from their bank accounts which also lead to the misuse of the services. There were some customers who were making continuous transfers from their credit cards into the wallets and then transfer the money into their bank accounts with no charge. They were also enjoying the benefits of the reward point and were charge no fees credit charges by the bank. This was the reason for taking up the decision of charging 2 percent on credit card transfers. Apart from this, for the genuine users, the Paytm promised to give back the charge amount in the form of reward points that can be further used as Paytm and other ways. Taking the strong decision, the Paytm made an announcement on Wednesday.
One of the officials of the Paytm firm says,” keeping the millions of customers and merchant interest as the utmost priority, we decide to suspend the 2 percent fees and will continue to build a series of features to curb the misuse.” Very soon the digital payment firm Paytm will come up with plans in order to prevent the mis curb. For now, no plans are been shared by the team. Stay tuned for more updates.
